EXCITING THINGS ARE HAPPENING AT STEPS the Current SDA Regional Champions 2024!

STEPS opened its doors for the first time in 2006 under the direction of Sara Fraire. We are still going strong with the help of our family and STEPS In March of 2024 STEPS relocated into a new studio equipped with all the tools needed to instruct our students in the art of dance. Our students have the opportunity to learn in many different dance styles, or take advantage of training with our dance equipment and tools in our training room. State of the Art Dance Flooring and spring floor to protect the bodies of our growing athletes, as well as fun atmospheric LED lighting in both Dance rooms, surround sound and Big screen TV

STEPS has trained staff in Ballet, Point, Jazz, Tap, Modern/Contemporary, Partnering, Hip-Hop, Acro and Competitive dance. We also take time to work privately with those who prefer and those in need of special dances for their Weddings, Sweet 16 parties, Pageants and Quinceñetas. Our collective staff of instructors have trained all across the country gaining much needed certifications to teach dance correctly and safely. ! We have choreographed talent for the TV show "106 & Park", Dance Coalition (D-CO), Miss Merced, Miss Yosemite Valley and Miss California Contestants and Title Winners, and as part of the Brett Nichols talent team, and for KidzBop "Make Some Noise" Tour. Our teaching staff has worked as traveling members of "The Pulse on Tour", Monsters of Hip Hop, 49er Cheerleaders.and won awards at World of Dance (WOD). Here they have gained extensive knowledge from industry elite to pass on to our dancers to assist them in achieving those same goals.

Accepting students 2 ½ -adults, there is a class for everyone at STEPS. Whether you’re a recreational dancer or a serious dancer who's ready to prepare for a competitive and performance career. No students is overlooked or lost in the crowd .We are dedicated to the next generation of dancers and preparing them for an exciting and fun experience in the world of dance. Our small class sizes ensure that our students receive one-on-one attention from their instructor and develop personal relationships within their class. We also have structured toddler classes and classes for students with special needs. Our online availability and online billing options are designed with our parents in mind. Mrs Sara earned her degree in business which has helped keep in touch with the constantly changing demands of the industry and community. How do we stay competitive? Aside from our Affordable prices and web based communication and billing, we have a close relationship with industry high demand teachers/choreographers, and a local teaching staff. At STEPS we have a selfless passion for passing knowledge to the next generation of performers. We have a highly trained staff that is capable of teaching students how to execute movement safely and efficiently. We also have industry experiences to pass along, that many in our area do not have.

Time to Brag about our Students!

We are very proud of all of our students, to include our competitive dance teams; Mini, Junior and Teen STARZ. These teams are selected by our staff members who observe them throughout the year. These select students stand out in class by demonstrating that they are able to work well with their classmates and must go through a professional audition process to become a member of our team. STARZ must also show a high level of talent with emphasis on showmanship and dedication. Our STARZ dancers train all year at a competitive and professional level for a career in the art of dance. All Season our STARZ participate in competitions taking home several Gold, 1st place category awards and several overall high score awards for their age divisions!!!! We are very proud of you all. Many have had dancers chosen for scholarships in New York, often receive special judges award, and have been selected into talent agencies ready to book jobs. Our Mini and Junior STARZ came home with a Spotlight Award for the highest ranking routine in the 12 and under age category (2019). GOOD JOB DANCERS!
